What's In Solar

Solar is our daytime blend. Bright, floral, and the sunniest thing we make. Here is what's in it and what each herb contributes to the taste.

Gotu Kola

A creeping plant from wetlands across Asia, long used in Ayurvedic tradition. Mild and green in a blend, without much of its own edge.

Tulsi (Holy Basil)

Sacred in Hindu practice and grown in courtyards across India for centuries. It smokes with a peppery, clove-like warmth that gives Solar its backbone.

Calendula

Those vivid golden petals bring a delicate floral sweetness, and they are most of the reason Solar looks the way it does in the tin.

Lemon Balm

Citrusy and bright. It is the herb people usually notice first, and it keeps the blend from reading as too earthy.

Oat Straw

From the green oat plant, harvested before the grain matures. Soft, mild and slightly sweet. It rounds off edges.

Coltsfoot

A yellow flowering plant native to Europe, one of the first things to bloom after winter. Adds a subtle earthy note underneath the florals.

Mullein

The base, as it is in every one of our blends. See our mullein post for why it turns up everywhere.

How it smokes

Bright and floral, with the tulsi giving it warmth and the lemon balm keeping it lively. It stands on its own and it also mixes well.

Available as pre-rolled or as a loose blend.
